Your Instructor will demonstrate all practical components, in detail.

Some of the practical modules will require your participation as this forms part of your acquisition of psychomotor skills.

Practical Assessment (In Classroom):

Using a skills guide, each student is individually assessed on the following:

  • CPR Techniques
  • Choking Management

Practical Assessment (Simulated Rescue Scenario outside the classroom):

Realistic scenarios with realistic injuries for gaining practical experience

  • Assess, diagnose, treat and stabilize an injured person ;
  • Use of a spinal immobilization device/stretcher
  • Safely secure and transport an injured person over a determined distance to an environmentally acceptable location
